Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser

Got to try one of these as a compliment for bellas who attended the BDJ Rendezvous. Thank you so much Kiehl's and BDJ!

You could actually ask for samples if its your first time to enter Kiehl's and they'll give you samples base on the condition of your skin be it oily, dry or combination - and I think I'm now on normal (cheeks) to oily (t-zone) skin.
This 30ml tube is huge and its one of their deluxe samples, so you'll see the result just by using it regularly. Felt the difference just right after my first facial wash in the morning and after a long day! If you're wearing makeup, remove it first before washing face using this for more effective result since this is not abrasive, its gentle and emollient best for sensitive skin. Emollient included in this tube are squalene, apricot, kernel oil, vitamin E and avocado oil. This cleanser reminds me of Physiogel. If Physiogel is for babies, I think this is the counterpart for adults. Like Physiogel cleanser, this could be use even without water. Perfect for lazy nights and is travel-friendly. :)
This is Kiehl's version of a gentle cleanser that effectively cleans without over drying and stripping or exfoliating sensitive skin. This is my first encounter to this skincare brand and so far I'm loving it, I think I would buy a regular size bottle right after finishing this up and all the other cleansers lurking around my vanity. :P
What Kiehl's product do you love most? Share away!

Giving my skin some love,
Geri

Physiogel Cleanser

Hello Physiogirls, err... Physiogel girls!
So, I decided to make this
month week a Physiogel special!
Moving on, this is what a full size Physiogel Cleanser look like...

Phsyiogel Cleanser - Php325.00
image

Packed in a simple box, plain print design and minimal color - this product means business and it is more than you think it is. :) It comes with a separate pump - so even if its huge, it won't spill in the luggage if you decided to go (carry) for it. :) The body shape is perfect for hand grasp too.

image
It does the job - simply, easily and chemical-free.
It's hypoallergenic - (if you haven't noticed yet) all Physiogel products are actually hypoallergenic, the same reason why its safe for baby's sensitive skin. :)
image
I carry this on JC's baby bag, so when he cooks down there and water is nowhere in sight - Hello Physiogel Cleanser!

Soap-free
Non-comedogenic
Balanced pH

Just what sensitive skin and baby needs in a cleanser that cleanses well without drying the skin or greasy oil film feel (does that makes sense?). It leaves baby a moisturized and clean bum and consecutive uses proved that it doesn't cause rashes as well.

Use as a
- Regular facial wash
-Makeup remover
-Baby wash on the go on his face
-and genitals after diaper change and poop
This is somewhat a refreshing product to use, simply because its chemical-free.
We (baby and I) are so gonna keep this on our separate stash (makeup kit and baby bag)! This is a multipurpose cleanser without the harmful agents.

Stay tuned for Physiogel Lotion! :)

Physiogel Intensive Cream

Hi everyone! I will introduce Physiogel Intensive Cream with my blog partner  in this post, Gift Factory's Sponge Bob Squarepants in his cowboy attire!
After washing the plates or doing the laundry, my skin feels very rough - and if you are like me, then this my friend is the thing you need. Easily absorbed by skin, making it smoother and moisturized as well.

If your skin is snake-skin-like dry, this will be your bff, holy grail everyday cream until it repairs your skin and turn it to normal that will take 7 days more or else depending on how often and how religious you use it.
But if you are an oil factory, then you might want to keep your face a distance with this just to avoid that tiny little zit breaking out plus a chance to land a humongous volcano of acne somewhere on your t-zone area and just focus on the other "drier" parts of your body like your knuckles, elbows, outer ankle bones, heels and the "four tires of the feet"(don't know? Google it!).

physiogel intensive cream

Did I mention I'm oily? OK, I'm oily, normal and dry all at the same time! My upper forehead is usually snake-like dry (ugly truth), t-zone is t-zone you know the drill (OK, if you don't, its oily), lids are oily too (hello eye primers!) and the rest was a thumbs up (normal!) so once a week a dot size on my forehead is a good go after shower! ;)

Howdy Spongebob!

The packaging is simple and the orifice is just enough to squeeze a pea size without wasting any and is hygienic to use as well.

Empties June 2013

Aside from samples and freebies, this batch of empties includes some of my staple everyday vitamins. :)
june empties
Vitamins included here are my trial pack of Ascorbic Acid, Sensedol for mild gingivitis, United Homes Iron for lactating and pregnant women and prevention of anemia. Aside from medicines that we take, we have medicines to apply. Just like the two empty tubes of Cortisan that i constantly have an extra or two, for babes bum rashes and open wounds, scars and pimples. That, I proved effect. A small travel size Sunflower ointment too. I just can't believe I still am in love with this magic bottle all throughout my life! It's vintage! And the minty smell is nostalgic - to me!

Oral hygiene empties include a travel size red Close Up and Colgate's' Optical White. Shampoos I'm finally done with are the Avon Natural's Black Shine 2-in-1 Shampoo and Conditioner in black sesame & bhringra for black hair which smells so good although I'm not really donning a super black hair, this was like my 4th or 5th empty bottle!

Black Beauty Crystal anti dandruff shampoo that manage irritated, flaking and itchy scalp due to dandruff. I'm not a dandruff person, I'm more of the oily hair kinda of girl so I wouldn't be buying this line of Black Beauty unless the problem arises.  Good thing about it is that aside from it "heals' the scalp,it nourishes and keeps hair silky smooth. So next time, i'll remember crystal is for dandruff. Makes sense huh?
A sample size of oilatum that I talked about awhile back.  A small pack of Purity cotton and a travel-friendly hand gel from Pure Gel in frost berry scent. I would reuse the rubber lace again because its cute and functional.

Do you have empties for the month of June? Have you tried any of my June empties?

Stiefel Oilatum

"Seal Babies' Skin with Moisture from Oilatum Emollient Bar"
Got several sample bars from different events that I've attended like BDJ Box (#so glad I've passed the moisturized skin test on their booth) and Mommy Mundo's MOTF, and I must say, my baby's skin is soft and smooth! :)
- gently cleanses without drying
 - moisturizes and protects
-suitable for children & infants

oilatumThis bar of moisturizing soap is not a stranger to me. My mom used to use this with us when we were little to avoid that rough dry skin that commercial bars usually has plus, we (my siblings and I) are prone to eczema, it is also the reason why I itch fast when using drying soap.
Bath emollients are widely prescribed by doctors to treat eczema. They are formulated to work with water to rehydrate and moisturise the skin. The water penetrates the skin and is then sealed in by the emollient, which creates a protective barrier. A bath emollient is convenient to use, and is the ideal choice for all-over dry skin treatment. Oilatum disperses in the bath water (unlike ordinary bath oils which can form a film on the surface) to give you an inviting, milky bath. It rehydrates the skin, helps protect against further drying, and soothes irritation. It also cleanses the skin, so you do not need to use soap.
This bar is kinda slippery and bubbles fast, with a pH of almost 7, whilst negative ions from the foams attract the positive ions of oil and dirt, it wouldn't irritate the skin.  (ha! I remember my good old engineering chemistry 2 at night - the fun laboratory ans all :D *insert inside joke here) Back on the topic,  it wouldn't irritate the skin, it actually gives the skin a moisturized finish as explained above. I had been on the search for additional bath goodies for my babe and after having this with J&J milk bath, I could say that it didn't fail me, and it actually satisfied me (as a mom) more than I could hope for that I decided to just consume the rest of J&J and stick with this new-found bath love plus Physiogel cleanser. And if this is oh-so-good with my babe's sensitive skin then it would not hurt, if mom's skin would (taste and feel) benefit from it too! :D the result in the long run is like reaping an investment for the future self, it is well worth it :)
I have more stiefel products to try to and share like the cleanser and moisturizer but for now check out Stiefel Spectraban 60 - a really high-end sun screen!
