Shiseido Makeup Session by BLESS MY BAG

Always wanted to try out Shiseido products and I've been wanting to meet Ms. Julia - the beauty behind BlessMyBag! , so when I read her blog post about giving her readers a chance to have a make up session with her I joined in a blink of an eye! :D Since my sister is a makeup enthusiast as well, I shared to her Julia's Makeup Session on her facebook page and fortunately enough, she let her in too! Yay!

Since the event is held at the new wing of Alabang Town Center and we are from Makati city, going there is really an effort. With my brother as our driver, we "fight" our way out - asked directions, etc, etc! And we finally made it! So, is all the hassle worth it?

Of course YES! Read more to see why!!!

Nichido Travel Makeup Brush Kit

One of the things I wanna collect are makeup brushes, and I already did some posts about it my first and only Sigma Kabuki BrushNichido Mini Travel Makeup Brush KitELF Stippling BrushNichido Kabuki Brush and retractable ECO-like KAbuki Brush I got from a department store and a lot more makeup brushes that I am longing to post here but of course as always, babe and work eating up my time. Please bear with me, as my next makeup brush post might excite you! :P

Moving on, my sister and I decided to buy another set of makeup brushes, so we got each other this kit without really inspecting first what's inside. So here is what this travel kit looks like:
Picture2 1993

This is way much longer than the other Nichido makeup travel kit below
nichido
but it is slimmer.
It holds 5 essential brushes that is individually wrapped with plastic.
Picture2 1995
The brushes included are the

blush brush
Picture2 1996

flat eyeshadow brush
Picture2 2003

a spoolie
Picture2 1998

a brow and eyelash comb
Picture2 1999

Like I said, we don't go on the details we just grab these and head to the counter because we have other errands to do, so here is what my sister got as the last but not the least brush-

a hard lip brush with a hard plastic cover
Picture2 2000

while mine is
a soft lip brush
Picture2 2002

The brushes are amazingly soft enough that it won't "scar" your skin. It doesn't shed at all. But like I said, before getting this, you should see what is inside or not if you don't mind having either of the hard or soft lip brush. :P

But the spoolie and the brow/lash comb is redundant to me, I could replace the com with this brush instead

And another thing, I would be doing a DIY travel makeup brush holder because the plastic holder sucks! It accumulates dirt faster and the sides are already worn out! But still this is a good item inside a makeup newbie like us. :P

So what can you say about this travel kit? Is it a nay or a yay?

Nichido Travel Brush Set

Good quality doesn't always mean expensive! That is what I believe and I already have proven this for  a couple of times now. :) As you can tell on of my favorite drugstore brand is Nichido, I already had some several posts regarding their products - Finishing Powder and Eyebrow Palette. Now that I am collecting makeup brushes and is always on the go - travel and site inspections - I would not pass trying out their own, so I decided to get this Nichido Travel Brush Set in faux leather case and the Nichido Travel Makeup Brush Kit in plastic case that I'll be posting soon (when I get extra time again to blog :P).
This is what it looks like:

Nichido Travel Brush Set (Php 270.00)

It is so cute, handy, classic. It's good that its case is black. Each brushes are in separate sturdy pouches and is individually wrapped in plastic and the clip button is magnetic.
Here are the brushes included in the set.

My favorite brush - which is the real reason why I say yes to this set -
Flat Angled Brush
perfect for defining the eyebrows and for applying gel liner! :D

Eyeshadow Brush

I love that I don't see the sponge tip brush in this set that I usually see on some local travel brush set. Every brush is uniquely for different uses, not redundant. :) I just wish that all their Nichido Travel Brush Set in faux leather case have the same brushes inside because... watch out for my Nichido Travel Makeup Brush Kit in plastic case. #hint

If you are planning to get this, you might as well check it out and open the set first just in case. :) More brushes coming up! For the mean time, share your favorite local brands of make up brushes below!

Nichido Eyebrow Liner Duo Kit

This is my second try of an eyebrow palette. My first try was 4U2 Eyebrow Palette that I will be posting soon. :P And if you are asking me why? Well, maybe because, I prefer using this palette instead of the former. :)

I love the sleek packaging! <3
Picture2 1489

Here is what it looks like...
Picture2 1491it's totally girly! :P

This duo kit contains two shades in the colors coffee brown and black. Best for Filipina eyebrows. :)
Picture2 632
This is a huge pan containing a lot of products! I bet this will last me a year or so. :)

This can also be applied as an eyeliner. Apply it dry for a natural look or wet the brush for a more dramatic eyebrows. :)
BRUSHThis palette also contains 1 tiny little eyebrow brush and a mini little tweezer that I don't use. :3

For Php240.00 this is oh so worth it. :) Here are the swatches!

Like I said, I prefer this frm my 4U2 eyebrow palette but I'm not closing my doors for other eyebrow products like brow gels and the oldie-but-goodie brow pencils.

What are your eyebrow staples? Share 'em up below!

Food Trip: Fishman, The Fort

After tripping over at the 30th street, we finally fall... and fell in-love to this aquarium-like fish house! :P
Picture 653

Obviously, the theme of this restaurant is the ocean - or should I say aquarium?
This cute chalkboard menu is so eye-catching!

wish I could draw my own school of fishes here too... ^^

Camwhoring the place while waiting for our orders. :P

blue and green accents reminds me of the ocean...

The ambiance is good, I like the techy free wifi, modern furnitures and those two flat screens showing films showing the sea and the ocean and the life of a fisherman, the fishes... ... ...

Of course, the center of attraction - food!

My favorite FM soup - the crabsoup!
