Catch Single/Single explosive season finale

It has been a roller coaster ride for our favourite weekend barkada in Single/Single season 2. There were heartbreaks, anger, regret and disappointment but there was also laughter, kilig and excitement all throughout the entire show. Indeed, Single/Single has created relatable scenarios of life, love and friendship which perfectly depict the everyday struggle of a millennial.

The season started in a heartbreaking moment with a death of a friend. Through this unfortunate event, the barkada came to grips with the reality that life can be short and it has also driven them to step up in order to achieve their dreams.

We saw Joey’s transformation from being a carefree young musician to a hard-working businessman, managing his own bar, Bistro Biajo. Joee, on the other hand, tried to strike a balance between love and career, which, unfortunately, did not work out. The ever-busy Ranee was the one blessed with both a blooming lovelife and a flourishing career, but not after a splitting up and making up with her prince charming Randy, who chose her over his career in Canada. Meanwhile, Benny matures and has happily embraced singlehood. This season also gave Tita Bianca a second chance in love and marriage. And at the end, all of our worries were put to rest when Joey and Joee finally admitted that they have feelings for each other.

It was indeed a whirlwind of a season, not only for the barkada but also for the viewers who shared the struggles and laughter of our millennial gang. But will it be a happy ending for each of our characters? Or will it be a cliff hanger series once again, paving way for another exciting season?

Yup, break-ups tend to make people melodramatic but the 7th episode of Single/Single season 2 goes beyond the drama me takes viewers into a whirlwind of emotions. Be ready to laugh and cry as the lead characters, Joee and Joey, played by Shaina Magdayao and Matteo Guidicelli respectively, struggle with different kinds of break-ups.

In the previous episode, Joee finally admitted to herself that her feelings have waned for Steve, JC Santos' character. Steve tries hard to turn a blind eye on all the signs that their relationship is doomed; he continues to woo her. But Joee has finally mustered the courage to tell the truth - she and Steve have to break-up. How will he take it? Will he continue to fight for love or will he let her go?

Joey, on the other hand, finds himself often arguing with his mom, Bianca, played by Cherie Gil, when it comes to managing Bistro Bajo. These little fights are starting to impinge on their mother-son relationship. Deep inside, both know that their partnership has to end but who will have the courage to break-up first?

Single/Single episode 5 fast forward to the future

How do the characters see themselves ten years from now? This is the big question that will be tackled this Sunday in PhilStarTV and Cinema One’s first-ever breakthrough series, Single/Single season 2. Prepare to laugh and learn watchingyour favorite weekend barkada get lost in a reverie of sorts imagining their #FutureNow.  

 

This episode will give you a peek into the characters’ deepest dreams and aspirations.  Joey, played Matteo Guidicelli, envisions his future as a successful entrepreneur and family man. This is what prompted him to leave his carefree days as a musician.  Now he’s taken on a new challenge – trying to become a serious businessman by setting up his own bar. Does his vision include Shaina Magdayao’s character, Joee? Will his feisty, sometimes over-protective mom, Bianca, played by Cherie Gil, support this change?

As for Joee, we saw her struggle in balancing her work and her relationship with Steve. Her dilemma was supposed to be resolved by Steve’s sacrificial resignation. Now that Steve gave way for her to have time for both, she is more focused onbeing career-driven and dead set to rise up the corporate ladder, something that she had always dreamed of. In fact, in her reverie, she achieves awards for her accomplishments but will Steve still be a part of her future?

 

Brian Sy’s comic character, Benny, on the other hand also imagines himself successful a decade forward – someone who can proudly face his ex-boyfriends with a triumphant look on his face and so much money in his pockets. However, as he sets out to make his dreams come true, he gets caught up in a rather hilariousmisadventure that will teach him a lesson of a lifetime.
