Food Trip: Happy Barn

"Drink Happy Thoughts!"
image
The Happy Barn Milkshake Factory finally made its way to the new wing, ground floor, Market! Market! as its third outlet. First branch in Evia and second branch is located in Powerplant mall. This happy barn of milkshake was owned by actress and entrepreneur Jodi Sta. Maria also known as "Maya" of ABS-CBN's hit "Please Be Careful With My Heart". Now, Jodi is encouraging us to "Please Be Careful of Your Health" by thinking happy thoughts while drinking happy milkshakes, err, happy cow's milkshake that is! Happy overload!
We tried these three yummy milkshakes. Mind you, even the names are very intriguing!
image
From left to right we have Cowie's Favorites: Vanilla Thrilla - pure vanilla with 0% sugar in skim milk (Php85.00), Cowie's Shake & Bake: Merry Mango Caramelo - mango and caramel with 20% sugar in skim milk (Php95.00) and Cowie's Specials: Lychee Glee - pure lychee with 0% sugar in skim milk (Php95.00)
image
My favorite among the three - Merry Mango Caramelo which Ms. Shine actually announced as the best seller! <3
I love the ambiance of their kiosk! Cute little bird house is as always a head turner, err, let me rephrase that. This cute little bird house is calling me to come get the milkshake! lol
image
It's like we are in the wild vintage-y west side of the world.
image
The color combination of pastel pink, baby blue and white is just too cute to resist!
image
The cute pink flat screen also shows the opening of the previous two branch with interviews and all the goodness and health benefits of this happy barn's goodies!
image
Babe loves the Happy Barn indeed! <3 Miss Shine gave him a special for baby Clyde tour only! hihi
image
Of course, we wouldn't miss this cute little white mail post! And my favorite spot? Check out the swingchair photobombing! :)

Here is to more drinking happy thoughts. Another favorite "hang out" approved! :)

ELIZABETH: Hap Chan

Hello guys! How are you? I just wanna share to you one of our favorite restaurants this few weeks ago! A Chinese Restaurant called "Hap Chan"! Hap is the Chinese word for "to put together or bundle in one group". Chan is Chinese word for "place". Hap Chan defeated our previous number one Chinese food hot spot - ManHann... For the reasons you'll understand just soon enough. lol (Of course, Chowking is number one on a different list, if you know what I mean... hehe)

Here are my eating buddies also known as my family...

FOOD TRIP: THE SOUP KITCHEN

The Soup Kitchen's "Original Homemade Goodness" really keeps up to it!

My favorite - Chili Soup with Brown Bread!

Although I sometimes ask for a free taste of the Clam Chowder too! Yes, you could free taste all the soup available for the day, isn't that great? :D

All photos were Instagrammed... so yeah...

Other locations aside from Market! Market! are RCBC Plaza, La Fuerza Compound, Enterprise Center all inside Makati City :P

Tap the neighbors ---> Beard Papa's and Elsie's by Owlisms, Market! Market!
More from this neighborhood soon! <3

Keep your mind clean and your tummy full!
xx, Gerilen

Food Trip: Elsie's by Owlisms

Top hangout of the month goes to the Elsie's by Owlisms which we locally termed as Ginatan because they serve justice to Ginatan Halo-Halo (Php 60.00) - because that is their "specialty" - plus my favorite Chicken Arroz Caldo (Php 55.00) and Pancit Molo (Php 60.00) without the noodles.

This is the perfect merienda place because aside from their Filipino mini dishes, they also sell brewed coffee for Php50.00 only. Milano Roast 250g for only Php 200.00, Melba Toast Php60.00 Whole Wheat Melba Toast Php65.00 Sans Rival Php60.00 and other sweet treats and pastries... So if you are on a budget and want to dine out, hang around, chat or just chill, or you just love owls then this is the place! :D

They have a cute presentation of food, cute owl bowls of different sizes, cute owl figurines and statues.

I hope that the picture above sums it all up. :P And no, I didn't eat all that! *burp*
P.S. - perfect hangout for tablet users because of free public wifi. Now that's what I called cool!
