Removing Scratches on Devices Using Toothpaste

Buy a screenguard after purchasing your gadget to protect it from future nasty scratches so you won't have to worry about these eyesores in the first place - that, I didn't think of - so after sometime (letting babe play pop the colors and balloons, and tapping on animals for sound in between scratching, drooling and dropping my HL & Rich Android Tablet) this is what it looks like now...

image

I knew that this will happen and it did. That's why I bought it over the Samsung one that costs more than twice of what I paid for.
I thought that the scratches was the end of it, or worse, it will be too deep until it won't function anymore... until I saw an article on the internet on how to remove it - toothpaste, baking soda and polish method.
Others commented that it's a fake, so what I did is test it myself.
I obviously did the toothpaste method as it is the title for this post.
Here is what I used...
image
Some cotton buds, a small toothpaste that usually comes with a toothbrush when you stay in a hotel - so don't throw them away, they are surprisingly useful!
This is the before and after photo...

image
It does reduce the scratches! Some of them were too deep though that it was now impossible to remove but those scratches lightens while the others magically disappear. It really does wonders. :)
Good to know, this method could also be used in removing scratches from watches, tv screens and other mobile phones and gadgets!
Learn more about the other two methods here.

HL & RICH 4.0 ANDROID TABLET

Do you remember this? That was six months ago... We totally get our hands on this the moment I got it! tcat
I decided to buy this instead of its high-end counterpart because I'm not after hd games, and I can clearly see the near future - babe banging this on the floor, tossing it in the wall... I cringe every time! and, yes, my premonition was true!

what i really need was an e-book reader (can't afford a Kindle yet) and some baby apps to keep baby fuss-free during travel or waiting for our turn on the clinic bearable plus, it makes learning fun. :) The device comes with charger and usb cable and a free tablet protector case but not earphones! #boo I uploaded several baby apps and surprisingly, it is true to its 8gb memory aside from the external memory that can be extended to 16gb. I could insert as well. I didn't buy any though because so far I'm satisfied with the memory it has.

No problem connecting to WIFI but the camera as expected is pffft… You’ll have to have a decent lighting if you wanna have a decent enough photo as this only have 0.3 megapixels front camera and 1.3 megapixels at the back- at least it has two lenses... *insert sarcasm here! Good thing I still got my Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W290 handy-dandy with an extra lithium battery on a separate case!

Social networking sites and emails however usually hangs so I deleted it all and stick to my A919i Duo when it comes to checking emails, twits, likes and IG favorites and the like. It doesn't come with a SIM card slot too but it didn't bother me in any way.

How about the battery life? Amazingly, this device has a hardcore battery! I charge this every two to three days, take note, that we love playing Hill Climb Racing here and some good old PVZ!

Satisfied as ever! I however downloaded a Clean Master app. One must have app! ;)
Have you tried this kinds of cheap tablet before? What's your say?

My|Phone A919i Duo over Iceberg

After several days of contemplation, I finally gave in to My|Phone A919i Duo! The same day they launch the latest flagship smartphone - Iceberg.
Why did I choose A919i Duo over Iceberg?
It's cheaper. Although I love these
Myphone Iceberg Full Specification

Myphone Iceberg Features

Aluminum Body - Yup, the first among the rest. With the full integration of Aluminum body, Myphone Iceberg will not just be durable but also cool and sleek looking.

Clever Motion Feature - More like O+ air shuffle or Samsung' smart gesture that lets you control your phone using sensors like waving your hand to capture images, wave to dim, flip to mute, and clever dial.

Wireless HDMI - I'm not quite sure how it works, but according to Myphone the wireless display accessory will be sold separately, and by the way wireless display means showing your phone display on TV or LCD TV.

Anti-Theft Technology - A pinoy technology built for Myphone also known as Theft Apprehension and Asset Recovery Application or TARA, using these technology you can freely control your smartphone whatever case  may happens.

Corning  Gorilla Glass 2 - An upgraded version of Gorilla Glass, which basically means more scratch endurance.

Jelly Bean 4.2 - The latest is always the best, higher version means more compatibility and that's the best way we can have the most of Myphone Agua Iceberg.

16GB Internal Memory - I don't think you'll ever gonna need a microSD, but if 16GB is not enough for you then just use an SDcard .

I'm so satisfied with these, its cheaper and besides 5.7" is too big for my liking...

Sorry for the crappy photos... it's too dark in here and a 3.2MP won't do well or good.
For your sake this is exactly what I got!
Box contents of MyPhone A919i Duo

plus,
Screen Protector (Php150.00)
Jelly Case  in a transparent pink color (Php300.00)

Php90 off on the gadget and
jellycase and screen protector for free! #happydance
I only got my goods for only Php10750 only! #winwin!

TCAT Philippines Haul

This is my first ever Tcat Philippines online transaction! :D It goes on smoothly, the staff are great and very friendly too. I called for the reservation of the items but their first number was residential :3 and I hope they already did something about that. So, I recommend calling the last two hotlines posted on their Facebook page instead. Moving on here are the things that I got!

tcat

Rich & HL Android Tablet, a Hanging Jewelry Organizer and 3 Y-Pad for niece, nephew and son. Watch out for my in-depth reviews on these, specially the Y-Pad. If you are planning to buy this, hold your horses! Ha! Now I'm giving you an obvious clue! The Jewelry Organizer is fine except that I had to put something on its sleeve to avoid hunchback! :S

That's it for now. Are you planning to buy cheap tablets too? Then, keep your eyes peeled! :P

my|phone A818 Duo Android 2.3

I'm not actually a phone person, as long as I can call and text, I'm good. I'm satisfied with a simple Nokia 3215Image Detailbefore and later my Samsung GT-E1080F
Image Detail
which comes with the Sun Cellular plan that my dad applied for me. But ever since I fall in love with ebooks and audiobooks, I planned to buy a new phone so that I can read and listen even on travel and away from my laptop. I scan and read reviews about new phones that are coming out in the market yet I can't decide. I guess I'm half-hearted on buying, so my hubby volunteered to buy me one hehe and I'm loving it! :D
My hubby saw this and decided to give it a try...
Uber madness! Too bad we're late on swapping a non-working phone to this one, but still Php4,499.00 is a good deal for an android phone!

Here are the MyPhone A818 Duo complete specs:
• 3.5 inch HVGA Capacitive Touchscreen 320×480 pixel resolution
• 650 MHz processor
• RAM TBA
• Android 2.3 Gingerbread
• Dual Sim / Dual Standby
• 3.2 MP primary camera
• Front facing VGA camera
• Wi-Fi , Wi-Fi hotspot
• Bluetooth
• WAP / GPRS / SMS /
• MMS/ NO 3GMultimedia Player / FM Radio – Headset jack3.5mm
• Pinoy Phone Apps , APK, Java
• Micro USB v2.0
• Internal memory expandable via microSD up to 16GB
• Battery TBA

What I love about it:
It comes with black, brown and white cases. I prefer white 'cause it looks more like an Iphone that way!
It's super cheap for an android dual sim with wifi phone. :)
I'm happy too with its dual camera! The front lens can be used for Skype via wifi and for girly girls like ahem as a mirror for touch ups too lol.
:)
The sound for music and radio, even the earphones are long enough and quite sturdy.
Free! Free! Free! Free flowing of apps and android games! Woohoo!

But remember, the good always comes with the bad and you can't have everything! So here are some of the downside:

The protective case are sold exclusively from my|phone retailers, mine is jelly pink and it's quite rough on all sides to avoid slipping :)
The casing is hard to open! I wish I could just slide it upward but no, you have to force open it using a small hole at the bottom edge...The picture quality is so and so, but personally I don't mind since I got a Sony Cybershot  DSC-W290.
Small qwerty touch pad, I can manage but my hubby's fingers are too big for the pad hehe nevertheless, it's tolerable. :P
No 3G/HSDPA connectivity, didn't matter to me though but this is quite a big deal to others.
The battery can only last up to 10hours maximum if you're not playing games and listening to music! This is the only major issue I have, good thing this phone can charge thru laptops too. Just be reminded to always bring your charger!

Nevertheless, I love my phone!!! :D So satisfied with it! Redundant I know!
I'm loving my new phone, I bet this will last me a year or so! :) I'm hyped about it! What's your dream phone?
