Guy Next Door Must Haves

Aside from all things girly, I decided to give shine to our boys and for today, I'm gonna be sharing the ultimate starter pack for that boy next door look. Guy Next Door look usually don casual wear. They don't stand out in the crowd. They're not attention seeking men, but when you put your eyes on them, linger a bit and you'll notice that they shine. Easy-going but organized.
According to Urban Dictionary:
Sweet, charming, and quite cute, although he doesn't seem to know it.
Guys next door don't really dig the whole taking advantage of a girl thing, and although able to be one of the lads, they can be great mates with girls as well.
Want to spot a boy next door? You want to don the look? Here's the boy next door starter pack:
  • Shirt - give a hint of your toned arms and biceps with a graffiti shirt or do a sleek style with short sleeves with collars, or a button down shirt with shoulder epaulets to give you a more broader shoulder look.
I asked the hubby to be my model of the day and he agreed. Besides he can't do anything about it anyway.
Check out Sophie Paris' casual shirts.
  • 12513523_961709313922197_761442012613835287_o Jeans - casual jeans, can be faded, usually straight cut jeans.

  • Accessorize! You don't have to buy anything fancy and irrelevant, you can use accessorize that are functional and fashionable at the same time.
Messenger Bag - for that easy going but organized look.
Enamel Bag
This enamel bag from Mizuno is the perfect guy next door accessory.
See http://www.zalora.com.ph/mizuno/ " for more items from Mizuno

Belt - to complete the look, we need to put on the belt. When buying belts, remember to choose a belt that is big enough to fill the loops of the pants but not overfilling them. The belt's metal buckle must match the buckle of your watch, also the belt's leather must match the leather of your shoes.
Shades - be hot while being cool with shades. Invest in a good pair, and take a good care of 'em. Just remember to not wear them at night, and never put them on your back pockets! Goodness!
Cap - you can ditch the umbrella (some says it's not manly, pfff) when it's sunny outside if you have a cap on. You can also use this on days when you feel cold outside at night or when it's drizzling. Okay I take it back, bring an umbrella, never leave without one! For a boy next door look, try the baseball cup or a beanie.

Bunny Echo Ribbed Cashmere Beanie
Wrist Watch - wear the time, be on time! Remember to match your watch's metal on your belt's buckle.
Socks - never wear shoes without a sock! Please.
Handkerchief or Towelettes - Do I have to explain this?
  • Rubber Shoes - for working out or just running errands. Rubber shoes are the most comfortable, durable footwear for that relax guy next door look.

According to Wiki: The boy next door is an archetype of storytelling. He is often invoked in Western contexts to indicate wholesome, unassuming, or "average" masculinity. A boy next door may serve as a love interest for a female protagonist.
Wholesome. Unassuming. Average. Perfect for that everyday casual look. So, what else can you add to the Guy Next Door Must Haves?

ELIZABETH: OOTD Parisian Shoes & People are People Dress

Hey guys! I just wanna share to you my nice outfit! The dress I wore on the picture below are from People are people. That dress is a special gift I received from my future mother-in-law! :) I really really loved that dress! While the shoes i'm wearing is from Parisian and I bought it at SM City Baguio when I was there.

I love this dress because its like a butterfly...see the details? :)

)
This photo was taken at Burnham Park, Baguio City.

Take a closer look on my shoes...

I love that I can wear high heels without fear of slipping and getting out of balance because of the wedge's flat rubber sole. The heels has a wooden finished while the strap has a snake-like look.

This style is available in several colors but I decided to get this greyish shade because it makes the snake skin more realistic.Surprisingly, I am very comfortable wearing this, I could even run with it! Ha! :D

Can you blame me if I tell you that I'm so in love with it?! Because it really makes me tall... *wink wink nudge nudge* hahaha :D

See how high is that! You might be afraid of wearing this if you are not yet inlove with high heels but believe me, try wearing wedges and you'll find yourself more comfortable than you expected.

Now, here is my butterfly dress.

Its likea square when I spread it, hence the high-low. The darker colors for the edges of this dress accentuate the cut, its like I'm a fairy without wings! Now, give me my wand! ;)

live, love, laugh,
Beth :)
