Catching Fire by Suzzane Collins

The Hunger Games discreet mode, click here.
The Hunger Games with its beans all over the place, click here.
...
and now, Catching Fire! This post brim's spilling juicy moments. You've been warned.
This is the second book of the trilogy: The Hunger Games. This is the second sequel of the Hunger Games. This is my favorite among the three.
Peeta Mellark and Katniss Everdeen won the 74th Annual Hunger Games held at the Capitol of Panem. "Victory Tour" follows shortly right after and sooner President Snow announced that on the 75th Annual Hunger Games - Peeta and Katniss will enter the Arena again. On the "victory tour", Katniss observed that a rebellion is brewing.
The thing is, every 25th year (the Quarter Quell) - the champions or the victors as they called it, would fight their way out of the Arena for the second (and to the others, last) time.
Another thing is, this is President Snow's way of getting rid of Katniss Everdeen together with the hope of the district's people to be free by starting a rebellion against the Capitol.
Like I said, this is my favorite among the three. This is where Katniss' problems were doubled if not tripled. The hunger games, the rebellion, and the boys.

Peeta Mellark in his glory suit. Oooh, that jawline's giving me butterflies on me tummy!
The boys, I mean the men in her life are both strong-headed, wise and tactful. She is as well, so the battle of personalities, beliefs and love is now on the next level, you could practically smell friction in the air!
I so can't wait to see Beetee in action! Finnick is hot but I won't switch teams, Peeta Mellark all the way to Capitol! Bring it on!

The Hunger Games (again) by Suzanne Collins

The first book on Suzanne Collins trilogy: The Hunger Games.
Hunger Games is set to a future where deliberated reality shows are plat-formed by dictatorial government of Panem fancied with the obsession of the latest trend underneath the possibility of a civil war.
It is about the passion to be wealthy and carefree inside the safe zone of the Capitol and the reality of being poorer than the mice without any chance of becoming better if you were among those living in the twelve (provincial) districts – even if you specialized on coaling or bread-making.
This is the tale, a dark beginning of a world where a young girl named Katniss Everdeen, volunteered to be in an arena of glorious victory and vicious deaths.
The Hunger Games is the first book of the Hunger Games trilogy. It is also an annual tradition of the Capitol – to choose a young maiden and a young lad on each of the twelve districts to battle their way inside an arena until only one stood still.
Katniss Everdeen volunteered to be the one of the representatives of their district in exchange of her unfortunate little sister, Prim that she sees as a little duckling - innocent. Along with Peeta Mellark, a bread-maker in the making, they represent District 12 – Coal.
If you haven’t read this book and you want something to keep you on the edge of you seat in every turn (I read the entire trilogy in 3 and a half short days), then you should definitely put your nose in to this book. The film closely depicts the book but not quite. I am from the beginning to end a team Peeta, but see for yourself if you had the heart for the hunter, Gale – that for me is forever in the friend zone (that almost made it to her heart).
I won’t be spilling anymore beans, so read the book, watch the film, and wait for my second book-say on the Hunger Games’ second book Catching Fire (that hopefully will be posted before the film reach our local cinemas) and then watch the film (that is what I did with The-Boy-Who-Lived! “Hi Harry! I miss you! More butterscotch here please!)
On the other hand, if you’re a spoiler or you just want to refresh your mind on what the heck happen in between Katniss and Peeta hugging in the dark--- click here!

A Haymitch grin,
G.
