McDonald’s reveals the greatest gift a mom can get in their newest ad

May 7, 2021 - Manila, Philippines — With the world closing down and our lives revolving around the four corners of our homes, it has become all the more evident how hard our moms work to meet all our needs and give us a life of comfort. From daily housekeeping jobs of cleaning and cooking, to managing businesses or working a full-time job, helping children transition to blended learning, and finding meaningful ways to bring happiness to homes; moms have continuously put their families’ needs over theirs.

So this Mother’s Day, McDonald’s celebrates the moms who tirelessly give their all just so their children have a happy life and a happy home. Through the launch of their new online video ‘Himbing’, McDonald’s makes us realize that celebrating moms doesn’t always have to come in grand gestures and luxury gifts. Sometimes, the best way to pay tribute to her is to give her what she needs the most— a break from everything to rest and relax, even just for a day. This, alongside hundreds of Filipinos who have expressed heartwarming relatability to the video, sheds light on the idea that giving our moms time to just slow down and breathe is truly one of the most valuable gifts we can give her.

“McDonald’s has always been about ‘simple, feel-good moments’. We hold that true in whatever we do and offer. In these extraordinary times, we wish that all the more for all the moms who work so hard to take care of their families. So this Mother’s Day, we released a video to show just how easy and simple it is to give moms the gift they need the most: tulog na mahimbing. We hope we all remember that sometimes, it's the simplest things that can make one the happiest.” said McDonald’s Philippines Marketing & Channels Head Oliver Rabatan.

Show your love and appreciation for mom by giving her the gift of a well-deserved break and a treat to her McDonald’s favorites.

Go-to summer makeup looks you can try with Careline’s Lip & Cheek Tint

Careline Lip & Cheek Tint
When it comes to summer essentials, lip and cheek tint is probably part of every Filipina’s makeup kit. It is versatile and it stays on the skin, which means your skin will look healthy and glowing all-day long. But the question is: are you making the most out of your lip and cheek tint product? There are so many looks you can try!

Careline suggests these easy summer looks you can try using its Lip & Cheek Tint (P110):

Korean makeup
Koreans are very particular with their skin care, so that they have a clean but dewy canvas even while wearing very minimal makeup. For this particular look, you might want to prep the skin by thoroughly washing the face, and then apply CC or BB cream with SPF for the extra healthy glow. Spot conceal any blemishes or sunspots. After, apply the Careline Lip & Cheek Tint on the eyes, apples of the cheeks. Meanwhile, apply concealer on the lips and then apply the tint, concentrating on the center of the lips to achieve the signature Korean gradient lips.

Sun-kissed glow
Summer is not complete without getting tan and sun-kissed. But because some of us may not be able to go to the beach this summer, it’s still possible to look as if you’ve been out enjoying the sun. To look sun-kissed, apply the tint on the cheeks and bridge of the nose. Complement the look by sweeping bronzer along your hairline on your forehead, down to your cheekbones, apples of the cheeks, and then swirl back again to your jawline. You can even add faux freckles by dotting your nose and cheeks with black or brown eyeliner and then pat the dots with your makeup sponge to make them look more natural.

My skin but better
The key to achieve the my-skin-but-better look is to stick to shades that are close to your skin tone. Begin by applying your preferred foundation, cover your problem areas with concealer, using a shade that blends well into the skin. Once done, dab on the tint on the lips and the high points of the cheeks. Finish off with a highlighter on the bridge of the nose, cupid’s bow, on the chin and on top of the eyebrows to add glow to the skin.

Feel the fun and vibrant vibes of summer by trying out these makeup looks using Careline’s Lip and Cheek Tint available in five shades. Find this product on Careline’s official page on Lazada ( bit.ly/CarelineLazada) and Shopee (bit.ly/CarelineShopee) and in leading supermarkets, groceries, and department stores nationwide.
