BC Blogger Meme: Five Things You Want To Do Before You Get Old

Getting older is inevitable and let's all face it, one of the irony of life is we want to live longer but we don't want to grow old. Simply because, the things we used to do when we're younger became more and more difficult and sometimes even impossible when we're old. So before I get too old, I hope I could do these five things first!

One, to read a library or two - if you read things that makes me happy then you'll know I love books! What more a library? :) or two libraries? :D

Two, to travel the world and hopefully the moon - in reading, one could travel. And I think everyone loves to travel! To explore new things and rediscover mysteries! Cool! One of the things I draw on my belle de jour power planner dreamboard,

the one in the upper right was a moon, to write my name in moon, and on the lower right was to travel the world, particularly Paris, Rome and Greece!

Three, to plant a forest, some woods and a beautiful garden - to be immortal is to have a child and
to plant a tree.
I have a newborn already so I scratch that one off my list. Now, to plant a tree. I wanna save Mother Earth in my own little ways because I still hope my son would see the beauty of the Earth and enjoy nature.

Four, to give back to my parents - I'll never be here without them, I won't grow like this if they didn't take care of me. They showered me  love and affection, they sacrifice for us. Now, I wanna return the favor. I wanna show them my labor of love. :) <3 <3 <3 Love you Mom and Dad!

Five, to help the elderly, the widows and the orphans - Jesus Christ' golden rule is "do to others, what you want others do to you". I wanna share the love of my heart to those who needs love the most. Elderly, widows and orphans have soft spot in my heart. I do wanna help them out even in small little ways of appreciation. I know that small gestures of kindness will make their hearts smile. Besides, it's better to give than to receive, right?

What's your Five Things You Want To Do Before You Get Old? Share yours!

My Sigma Beauty Wishlist

Sigma Beauty is one of my favorite online shop for make up products! One of my all time favorite is my flat top synthetic kabuki f80, and now I'm contemplating what to buy and I end up making a simple wishlist! Simple because I'm not a professional make up artist hence, what's on my list would be the things that I think I'll fully use personally.

Here's my wishlist!

Bare Palette - $35.00
The Bare Eye Shadow Palette includes eight eye shadow shades represented by neutral and wearable tones such as taupe, brown, bronze and black, perfect to create both classic and everyday neutral looks. Use this palette to highlight inner corners of the eyes, emphasize the crease, enhance the brow bone and define the lash line. Contains matte, satin and shimmer formulations.

Includes a dual-ended brush:

E30 - Pencil: Soften pencil liners along the top and bottom lash lines, add shadow to line the eyes, or use to highlight inner corner of eyes.
E25 - Blending: Blend colors together onto the lid with added control. Buff out harsh lines for a well blended effect. (from SigmaBeauty.com)
SigmaBeauty actually offers three palettes, the other two are the Dare and Flare palettes, but I decided to get the  Bare palette because it closely resembles Urban Decay's Naked palette. Plus, I love the fact that it includes a dual ended brush! :D But, if you already have the Naked palette I suggest you invest first on the other two Sigma Beauty palettes.

Individual Brush: Eye Shading E55 - $9.00

Unique Feature: Soft and dense bristles
Function: Even application of color
Recommended Use: Place color across the entire lid for an even and strong application of product. (from SigmaBeauty.com)
I think I need to invest more on these kinds of brushes, since this is an eyeshadow applicator, hence in times when I can't wash my other brushes, I would still have a clean one to use in case I'm in a rush, you know the drill. :P

Kabuki Kit - $56.00
The Synthetic Kabuki Kit contains four face brushes that allow a high definition, flawless makeup application. The brushes in this kit feature exclusive Sigmax fibers, uniquely designed to apply powder, cream and liquid products without absorption into the bristles.

Brushes Included:

F80 - Flat Kabuki: Application of liquid or cream products to flat areas of the face such as the forehead and cheeks.
F82 - Round Kabuki: Blend mineral products onto the skin.
F84 - Angled Kabuki: Buff cream blush or bronzer onto the skin.
F86 - Tapered Kabuki: Apply cream and liquid foundations onto the harder to reach contours of the face. (from SigmaBeauty.com)
I'm a sucker for kabuki! I love how soft my flat top synthetic kabuki f80 is so I think this is one is an exception, it's a splurge!

Face Kit - $57.00
The Face Kit contains five professional quality brushes for the face. Perfect to apply liquid, cream and powder formulas, this kit is ideal for all over face makeup application.

Brushes Included:

F30 - Large Powder: Even powder application. Uniform blending of powder products onto the face and body.
F40 - Large Angled Contour: Subtle cheek application. Use the angle to softly contour the cheekbone. Can also be used to apply blush.
F50 - Duo Fibre: Creates an airbrush effect onto the skin. Can be used with powder, liquid or cream products.
F60 - Foundation: Smooth foundation application. Apply liquid or cream products such as foundation and primer.
F70 - Concealer: Conceal small areas. Conceal the hardest to reach areas such as around the nose and eyes. (from SigmaBeauty.com)
These are the basic brushes, a newbie should have. :) So if ever I decided to go buy one at a time, after budgeting and saving, I might buy this Face Kit first.

What I love about Sigma Beauty products is that their more affordable and the quality is good. :) Plus, customers would get a Free Gift for purchases $30 or more! :D

Improvements on Rose Garden

Despite of things I need to do and projects nearing deadlines, I try to squeeze some light exercise on my schedule and one of them is to stroll around different parks that Baguio City can offer! :D

A simple walk and soak under the sun is enough to help improve both the health of moms-to-be like me and little bean. I'm so trying my best to lessen the unavoidable effects of Beriberi/Edema and leg cramps by walkathon and stretching, while sun bathing for a couple of minutes early in the morning helps in absorbing Vitamin D.

One of my favorite places to go is the Rose Garden. The improving Rose Garden (yes, just like Bayan Park, its under renovation) is one of the perfect place to be! It's in the heart of the city, one jeepney away from Aurora Hill, beside Burnham Park and across Melvin Jones, 5minutes from Session Road and 15minutes walk to SM Baguio! :D

Here are some pictures we took while strolling around:
Rose Garden Entrance at night
Rose Garden Landscape

Different flowers cultivated in this garden:
The place is so colorful! With different flowers comes different butterflies that makes the park more alive! :D More landscapes!!!
Oh look! A real lemon!
I also noticed that the drainage system of this park also improved!
wider and safer space for strolling around
new drainage system, easy to clean and maintain
Well, I think Rose Garden is perfect for family picnic, its wide so even kids on strollers can have fun! :D This place is also perfect for nature lovers and camwhores! lol
Also, check out the new and improving BayanPark, Baguio City!

BC Blogger Meme: Things That Makes You Happy

Simple things in life are priceless, and these priceless precious moments are the things that makes us happy. :) Here are SOME of the things that makes me smile.

Now that I'm a new mom now, my world centers on my newborn. :) His tiny mittens and socks, small warm body and his smoldering smile makes me happy.

Family is my priority so having a simple family day, dinner date or a simple quality time are the precious moments I cherish and keep! I tried to keep the memoirs fresh by putting up a scrapbook.

Could you believe that rain makes me happy? I love the rain so much. It's hypnotic and relaxing. All I wanna do is slap on a couch, read a book while sipping hot fudge or coffee! So cozy, right?

Being the girly girl me, make up brushes, painting my face and nails, doing tricks on my fingernails and loving shoes makes me happy!

Creamy soup on a stormy day never gets old! :P

Being a book lover obviously mean I love reading books... and reading an entire series, cover to cover makes me happy! I sometimes re-read the book and savor each scene! By the way, I usually read adventure/sci-fi books although number books are inevitable if you know what I mean...

Well, that's the top of the things that makes me happy! Of course, i could write series of books listing down simple things that could make me happy, I guess everyone would, but nevertheless, I do wanna enjoy life, why not if we could only live once, right?

Now, what are the top things that could make you happy? Share yours! :)
